Nanotechnology(NT) is a new technology separating and operating material at the state of atom or molecule by nanometer(nm) unit of 10^-9m that can create new compound material which has never been in the nature or the existing material till now by quite freely moving separated atom and molecule.

Moreover, NT is a technology controlling the structure and shape of substances to within a billionth of a meter, will lead the new industrial revolution of the 21^st century.

In order to promote the development of the NT and related businesses in Korea, KANC has been established in 2003 jointly by Korean government and Gyeonggi Provincial government as a national core R&D and support infra-structure. With the completion of the state-of-the-art Fab facility, the Fab services have been commenced on April, 2006.
